In the hustle bustle of one’s busy life, the importance of maintaining the ecology, has quite conveniently slipped into oblivion. One rarely spares the time and takes it for granted. It is only when natural calamities and weather fluctuations affect the normalcy of one’s life that one sits up and thinks. The principal cause of this dis-balance is hazardous materials created by mankind himself.
The hazardous materials are many to begin with, however the ones affecting the most are namely, deodorants, batteries, thermostats, pesticides, liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) as well as harmful chemicals used in factories. Others are refrigerants, fluorescent lamps, solvents and paints. It is quite surprising to note that most of these hazardous materials are common household requirement objects. In order to enhance the convenience man has actually ended up in creating his own means of destruction. Now the scenario has improved a little from the previous times as people have realized the importance of safeguarding environment and ecological balance. More and more environment friendly products are being produced and launched in the market.
Though the complete elimination of hazardous materials is still a remote possibility, the environment friendly goods are slowly but steadily replacing them. The process of controlling the hazardous materials consists of four categories. They are prevention, recycling, reduction as well as evaluation and management. The best option of the four would definitely be that of prevention, that is to say that goods should be designed, manufactured, and used in a manner that requires the minimal usage of these materials. The fact remains that it is easier said than done. Therefore the other ways come into action in order to reduce it on an overall basis. Reduction refers to the reduction of the source of these materials. Recycling refers to the process of recycling these waste products into something of further use. The last method involves a lengthy process of investigating, scrutinizing, identifying and enlisting the details of the harmful materials. The solution for them is then decided.
The hazardous materials if not stored properly can also lead to severe trouble and complications. Before handling such materials one must take necessary precautions in order to avoid further complications. If the norms of handling these hazardous materials are violated then the people found guilty of violating it shall face severe penalties.

It not only ensures a safe flight for the passengers but also takes care that the environment is not affected by this mode of transportation. They have unique codes for equipment, locations, times to standardize international flight operations and companies. It promotes regular, safe and economic transport for the passengers. Since the fuel used in airlines also hampers the environment, it is trying to develop more Eco friendly and economic processes and standards for the airlines to operate on.
Thus it is quite evident that the world in general has become increasingly aware and conscious of the problem of the hazardous materials. More and more Eco friendly good are seeing the light of the day while the harmful ones are receding into the past. If this process continues successfully then the environment problem may someday find a permanent solution.
